Complete an expression of interest form
Parents of prospective pupils are required to complete an Expression of Interest form which is available from the school, or can be downloaded from here. This can be done at any time. However, these are not reviewed until a boy is in 3rd class primary or higher.
Attend an Open Day
Open Days are held regularly in the school, usually in early October and early March. These give families an opportunity to visit the school and meet with students, teachers, board of management and other parents/ families. These are an invaluable opportunity for parents to appreciate the unique nature of Rockbrook and its approach to education. If you miss the Open Days telephone the secretary to arrange a personal visit to see the school.
The next Open Day is Sunday, 3 March 2019 at 3 pm.
Student attend an Introduction Day
Parents are informed of Introduction Days for their sons. These are usually held in October /November, March and April. Introduction Days are an opportunity for a prospective pupil to visit the school, do some assessment tests and meet with school staff. Usually a student will be in 3rd class primary or higher before being invited to an Introduction Day. Mini-Open Days may run in parallel with Introduction Days to facilitate parents who missed the Open Days. Also, if parents wish, students may be invited to spend a half-day in the school to experience it first hand.
Parents meet with principal
Parents who wish to complete the application for the entry of their son subsequently meet with the school principal or admissions officer before a place in the school is offered.
Payment of deposit
The payment of a non-refundable deposit is then required to secure the place. This payment is then deducted from the first year’s fees in the school. Information on school fees is available here. Fees vary depending on the number of children in the family attending Rockbrook.
