Each year there are a small number of work opportunities available for school-students working on the school’s summer Dangerous Camps. The posts provide opportunities for students to give something back to the school, to gain useful skills, to add to their CVs and to earn some money.
The Dangerous Camps aim to equip boys (age 6 to 13 years) with a range of ideas with which to enjoy their ‘free-time’. All camps share Rockbrook’s traditional characteristics of personal attention, character development, good humour, and a spirit of adventure.
The camps aim to inspire a desire for knowledge and adventure, and have in mind the all-round growth of boys through healthy and engaging active leisure. The Camps consist of the Dangerous Outdoor Camps, the Dangerous Science Camps and the Young and Dangerous Camps.
Students wishing to work on these camps usually must apply in January and must complete a leadership training programme beforehand. All camp leaders over 16 must undergo garda vetting.
