International School trips and exchanges are organised to enhance the learning of students, as well as providing good opportunities for personal development and building friendships.
Disruption to the normal school timetable is minimised and use is made of the school holiday period to facilitate longer trips. The school will generally avoid high cost trips which effectively exclude those who cannot afford them. See Student Life – School trips for further information.
In recent years these trips have included visits to Spain, Italy, England, Kenya, Trinidad and India. The plan for school trips is age appropriate: cultural in first year, language learning & sports in 2nd year, sports & learning in 3rd year, demanding experiences for 4th year, high level social projects (e.g. in Kenya, India) in 5th and 6th years.
This year school exchanges are being held with students from Rome (Italy) and Valencia (Spain). Transition years will walk the Camino. 5th years will participate in a service project in Albania (the third year of this venture).
